Led by of a group of Canadian venture capital and angel investors such as Real Ventures, Anges Québec, and Maple Leaf Angels, the Montreal-founded temporary locker company, Locketgo, recently raised a $1.2 million seed round.

Founded in 2016, Locketgo provides on-demand temporary storage for both events and permanent installations. Their lockers are utilized at reputable Montreal events such as Ile Soniq, Osheaga, C2, and Heavy Mtl, and their popularity continues to grow, as exemplified by their seed round.

By using the company’s lockers, festival goers benefit from reduced lines to reserve a locker at an event, can charge electronics with the built-in USB ports, and have the peace of mind that their belongings are safely stored.

As do many other startups who successfully raise a seed round, Locketgo plans on using the proceeds to further its research and development and grow its presence in the North America market.

This seed round adds to Locketgo’s momentum, and  comes after it raised $120,000 from FounderFuel in June 2018 and won the Grandmothers’ Choice Award at Startupfest in July 2018.
